SURPRISE!!

F(x) released they're new album today and I can't lie, I was pleasantly surprised.

Almost everyone I follow on Kpop twitter loves F(x) and I just have never been able to see the hype. I like the members somewhat, Amber's incredibly likeable, Luna's pipes are amazing, Victoria is stunning and Krystal, well I don't dislike her.

When I got wind of their comeback, I said to myself that I would try to give them the benefit of the doubt this time. I said if the music was good I would stop being shady about them and based off first listens there are 4 songs that I actually like. F O U R.

I listened to the little teaser clips this morning and decided I wasn't gonna like the album but now I'll take it all back and show you guys which ones I'm really feeling!

1. 4 walls

The video aesthetics are on point but its the song that's everything! I loved it as soon as it started all the way until the very end. It's deffo a song I would love to hear SHINee sing even though I do think the girls deffo killed it with their own colour. It's like a 90's R&B/House/UK Garage sound and I've had it on repeat since I've heard it. It might even be on my list of favourite Kpop songs of 2015. It's that deep.

2. Rude Love

Again another 90's house influenced track. If you can't already tell I'm a big fan of 90's music. I also love the fact that Amber gets some vocal shine on this one! They kept her hidden for too long. I could actually see this getting played out in a club where I live, I think people would really like it.

3. Diamond

The beat and the breakdown before the chorus are my favourite parts! I really hope they perform this song cause I'd actually like to see choreo for the chorus. The only down part of the song is that 'swagger like jagger' line in the rap. Sorry Amber.

4. Traveller

F(x) and Zico collaborating is something I would've never imagined but it works really well. This one might be one of my favourite songs on the album. I can't really explain what it reminds me of but you know when you listen to a song and imagine a music video in your head? It made me do that, so I like it.

I lowkey like Papi but I think it'll have to grow on me a little first, I'm not entirely sure about it but it's pretty catchy.

I'm not saying I'm a F(x) stan or anything but good music is good music and I'll keep an eye out for them in the future now.

Anyway, the album is out and up on K2Nblog for you to download, or you could buy it, whatever.

x'o
