FINALLY! VanJess release 'I Don't Need Him'.

You guys! I have been waiting for this since I first heard the little snippet on their Vine!!!

For those of you who don't know who Vanjess are, they're two incredibly talented sisters: Ivana (right) and Jessica (left) who started off by uploading song covers on their youtube channel.

One day I was watching Tori Kelly's Thinking About You cover, and in the suggestion bar there was a video titled Thinking About/Headlines. It was them, singing a mashup of Drake and Frank Ocean. Everything was so on point, that I made the effort to watch ALL of their videos in that one sitting. My ultimate favourite covers from them would have to be their 90's medleys - As a 90's kid and a huge lover of 90's anthems, I remember getting so hype listening to them sing all the songs I love. You guys can watch those medleys on their youtube channel here.

They later released an EP called '00 to Escape' and that solidified for me that they're not only limited to singing covers of songs but also capable of making their own music. And it was so good! I had two songs off the EP that I couldn't choose between: Killer Lover and Fantasy. (I lowkey wish the Safety Haven Interlude had been a full song too) They uploaded the EP songs to their channel so you can check it out there too!

After that, I fell off them for a while having gotten swept up into the whirlwind of Kpop, but I found their vine account one day and heard them singing the catchy chorus to I Don't Need Him. I remember praaaaying that they would officially release it and my prayers were answered! I love it! From their soulful harmonies, to the chords, to the familiar 90's R&B sound. It's everything!
